Ganpati Visarjan

It’s that time of the year in India. In Maharashtra actually. The Ganesh Chaturthi Festival.
People bidding Lord Ganesha a grand, LOUD farewell after staying at their homes for 10 days. And also celebrating those 10 days with the same excitement. One of those festivals which bring massive festive environment.

Every year in my city, seven main Ganesha idols(as far as I know) are celebrated in a parade where people dance on the hardcore energizing beats of dhols or drums.

Or just watch them play

People sitting out of the building windows and watching the parade

The the parade lasts till they reach the city river where the idols(not the big ones) are submerged thereby giving a horrible last goodbye.
